Historical record. Printed gate gives 5,000 total only; later factory panel adds a house condition. Do not combine this price with September 30 operating data.

Same recording as Strip Mall. Service count is not resident capacity; no housing capacity is assigned.

This is the specifically named Large Supermarket under Civilian → Commercial → Retail. Do not copy its attributes onto every shop variant, gas station or Strip Mall. The screen does not establish a service radius, a food-production recipe or a formula converting its happiness label into city income.

How should you place and budget it?

Select the named card, check your current quote, leave road access inside the printed distance, and confirm water, spare workers and energy before placing. Read the selected building’s needs again after it finishes. Do not use the service count as a housing capacity: serving 100 citizens does not create 100 residents or eight workers.

Subtracting only its listed upkeep gives $250 per pay cycle in this historical record. A hypothetical three-building plan therefore has $7,920 quoted construction, $780 listed income, $30 listed upkeep, 24 workers and 60 energy demand. Water and the cost of supplying those workers are additional requirements. The $750 difference is a listed building margin, not measured profit for the entire city.

Why must the September 30 record stay separate?

The September 30 Large Supermarket panel has a $4,128 quote, five workers and $12 upkeep, while still listing $260 income, 20 energy and 100 citizens served. This is a different recording, not evidence of a confirmed developer balance change. The Supermarket versus Mall comparison uses both retail panels from that single recording. Do not substitute the cheaper September 29 quote into its table.

For level 3, also consult the later factory tooltip’s 1,500-house-resident condition. The shorter supermarket label does not document all city conditions.
