How many more buildings do you need?

Use the three values from your current game. For a condition about residents in houses, enter that category’s current count and the capacity of a house. If the objective is total residents, use the total count instead. Do not combine categories simply because their capacities add up.

Population planner

Use the population values shown in your current game. The result counts new buildings; it does not model upgrades or utility coverage.

Calculation details

Buildings = round up((target − current population) ÷ population per building), with a minimum of zero.

What does the result mean?

The result is a count of new buildings of one chosen capacity. It rounds up because you cannot place a fraction of a building. The projected population is the starting value plus those new capacities; excess is the amount above your chosen target.

The worked example uses 100 current population, a 250 target, and capacity 32. It needs five buildings, giving a projected count of 260. These inputs are an arithmetic example, not a statement that 250 is today’s city upgrade requirement.

What should you check before placing the buildings?

Read the city level conditions for any category-specific gate. Check the selected building in the housing reference, then use the construction budget with the current prices.

Capacity arithmetic does not check utility coverage, worker rules, road access, construction time, or research. The tool never connects to Roblox and cannot read your inventory or city. Remembering inputs is optional and stores them only in this browser.
