Build and Conquer How to Get Money: Pay Cycles, Shops & Quests
The October 12 finances panel separates resident payments, shop trade income and upkeep, with a thirty-second pay interval.
Where does the recorded payout come from?
At 3:35, ItzVexo’s city shows this breakdown:
| Finances row | This recorded city |
|---|---|
| Residents | +168 |
| Shops | +344 |
| Layout | +0 |
| Upkeep | −29 |
| Net payout | +483 |
The panel says payment occurs every 30 seconds. The example’s arithmetic is 168 + 344 + 0 − 29 = 483. It is one city’s breakdown, not a formula promising the same income to another layout.

Which purchases have visible income examples?
The recorded House lists $10 per pay cycle, Farm Field $75 with $2 upkeep, and Shop $65 with $3 upkeep. Each has separate support needs. The Shop needs 2 workers, 10 energy and water; the farm needs water. Compare a purchase’s incremental listed income with the support you will also have to fund, then inspect your actual net payout after it finishes.
The creator also recommends claiming completed quests at 5:32–5:44. We have not established exact rewards or a repeatable reward farming method, so check the current quest panel rather than budget an unverified payout.
How does happiness enter the evidence?
The finances explanation says residents pay more as happiness rises. It does not expose a universal happiness-to-income multiplier. Use that relationship to decide what to inspect, not to invent a percentage bonus. Read the local Shop happiness discrepancy in the happiness guide before assuming a city-wide increase.
Construction materials can still block a purchase when net pay is positive. Put money and each required material into the budget tool and preserve a reserve for utilities or another essential build.
